A desire for hiking

Out and about on foot

What did Theodor Heuss once write about hiking? "The purpose of traveling is to reach a destination, the purpose of hiking is to be on the road."

With this in mind, lace up your hiking boots, shoulder your rucksack and let the adventure begin.

Between volcanoes, vineyards and in romantic river valleys, accompanied by proud castles and enchanted ruins, beautiful hiking trails with different levels of difficulty await you. Experience at first hand how impressive the landscapes still are today, formed millions of years ago by forces from the earth's interior and then polished like a diamond by wind and weather. Immerse yourself in the rich culture and enjoy the diverse views on offer along the Rhine, Moselle and in the Eifel.
