Discover the region on the well-known long-distance hiking trails from stage to stage or on the numerous premium hiking trails? The choice is yours.
The Rheinsteig trail runs for 320 km along Germany's largest river. Of course, you don't have to walk all the kilometers. How about the stage from Sayn to Vallendar, for example? The Moselsteig Trail and the Rhine Castle Trail are also marked as long-distance hiking trails and lead through our beautiful vacation region, captivating you with their unique panoramic views.
With a length of 3 to 19 kilometers, the 27 dream trails and 14 dream paths in the region offer plenty of variety. The well-signposted hiking trails take you past all the highlights of the Rhine, Moselle and Eifel. Enjoy the unmistakable nature, unspoilt forests and steep vineyards. Take a break at rushing waterfalls and hike through deep rocky gorges. With the beautiful hiking trails, you can explore the Rhine, Moselle and Eifel region with its cultural and scenic treasures as you wish.

Long-distance hiking trails
Rheinsteig
The Rheinsteig runs 320 km from Bonn to Wiesebaden and also passes through the Rhine-Moselle-Eifel region. It leads up and down the right bank of the Rhine on predominantly narrow paths and challenging climbs to forests, vineyards and spectacular views.
RheinBurgenWeg
The 200 km long RheinBurgenWeg runs from Remagen to Bingen and also passes through the Rhine-Moselle-Eifel region. Passing numerous castles and fortresses, you can marvel at impressive cultural sights as well as numerous natural attractions in the Middle Rhine Valley on the award-winning quality trail on the left bank of the Rhine.
Moselsteig Trail
The Moselsteig Trail leads 365 kilometers through the MOSEL WeinKulturLand and allows you to experience over 2000 years of history as well as the landscape to the left and right of the Moselle, which is characterized by viticulture and wonderful nature.

Dream trails in the Rhine-Moselle-Eifel region
A network of dream trails and dream paths criss-crosses the region and invites you to discover the magnificent landscape with its rich natural monuments and cultural beauties. 27 circular hiking trails in day trip format as well as 14 walking trails lead through the dense forest and volcanic landscape, over high plateaus and steep vineyard slopes, past medieval castles and fortresses and present spectacular views of the Rhine and Moselle valleys.
Würzlaysteig
On the Moselle adventure route from Lehmen to Löf. The hike leads along a challenging trail in the “Lehmener Würzlay”, with wonderful views of the Moselle valley, to the Ausoniusstein viewpoint and via an old slate mine in the Flachsbach valley to Löf.

Themed hiking trails
Nachtsheimer Strühmannspettje
The Nachtsheim Strühmannspettje circles the local community of Nachtsheim, dotted with many historical and natural sights and adventure stations as well as fantastic views. The approximately 12-kilometre tour is therefore just the right way to experience the region with all your senses.
7-Dörfer-Weg
This circular hiking trail connects the 7 districts of the municipality of Baar, not far from the Hohe Acht: Büchel, Engeln, Freilingen, Mittelbaar, Niederbaar, Oberbaar and Wanderath.
Time travel hiking trail
Experience a “journey through time” through 800,000 years of human and settlement history on the Moselle Adventure Route between Oberfell and Alken. The route takes you past sights such as Thurant Castle above Alken and the reconstruction of a Celtic post-slit wall on the Bleidenberg.
WineWeatherWay
The Moselle adventure route leads around the Moselle village of Hatzenport and impresses with distant views of the Moselle landscape. On the hike, you will get to know via ferratas and an incomparable wine culture.
Panorama trail
Hiking with far-reaching views at an altitude of 500 meters around Kirchwald. The Panorama Trail delivers what its name promises, a view from the Eifel landscapes to the Hunsrück, Taunus and Westerwald.
Karbachtal- und Wiesbachtalweg
Two short circular hiking trails in the Vordereifel vacation region: the Karbachtalweg and the Wiesbachtalweg, which start in the half-timbered village of Monreal and the Eifel village of Weiler respectively.
Jodokus hiking trail
Hiking in the footsteps of St. Jodokus. The themed trail leads from Langenfeld along an old pilgrims’ path, past the “Black Madonna” to the Jodokus fountain and the pilgrimage chapel of St. Jost.
Trout trail castles
On the Moselle Adventure Route through the impressive Baybach Valley. The hike offers wonderful views of the Moselle valley and the Hunsrück and impresses with its varied flora and fauna.
