Panorama trail

The Panorama Trail in Kirchwald lives up to its name: you can enjoy an unobstructed view of the Eifel landscape along almost the entire route, with distant views as far as the Hunsrück, Westerwald and Taunus.

Verlauf

The panoramic trail is around 10 km long and runs almost continuously at an altitude of around 500 m above sea level. Particular highlights are the views over the picturesque Nettetal valley, from Mohrsberg (564 m) into the Maifeld and as far as the Taunus, from Steinbüchel (524 m) over the village and its densely wooded surroundings and the view of the beautiful Nitz valley, through which the Nitzbach stream has carved its bed past rugged rocks ("Nitzblick").
