Lake Laach, the largest lake in Rhineland-Palatinate, is a so-called caldera lake and bears witness to a volcanic eruption that took place around 13,000 years ago. Today you can not only swim in it, it is also ideal for hiking, sailing and camping.
The Riedener Waldsee is surrounded by forests and meadows. The excellent water quality guarantees you unadulterated bathing pleasure at all times. Two bathing jetties make it easy for you to get in and out, while changing rooms and sanitary facilities round off the bathing fun. After a long day, you can treat yourself to regional delicacies in the nearby hotel restaurant.

Lake Laach
Lake Laach is located in the Volcanic Eifel, close to Maria Laach Abbey and in the middle of the associated nature reserve. This unique landscape is a popular recreational area for swimming, sailing, hiking and camping. Lake Laach is also part of the Eifel Volcanic Land National Geopark.
