What you can expect
This innovative application uses augmented reality (AR) to bring seven of the district's most important sights to life digitally. Immerse yourself in the history of the region and experience interactive content that is specially tailored to different target groups. By integrating new media and participatory approaches, the project promotes (building) cultural education and strengthens identification with the region as well as a sense of community.

The project behind it
The development of this sophisticated app is the result of a Europe-wide tender. A strong consortium emerged as the winner from 19 international applicants: T-Systems, Telekom MMS, GALLIONfilm and ZAUBAR. Implementation is already in full swing, with the aim of making all seven sights digitally accessible by 2026.
Part of the "Smart Region MYK10"
This project is an important part of the "Smart Cities Model Projects" program, which is funded by the Federal Ministry of Housing, Urban Development and Construction and KfW. Under the motto "Smart Region MYK10", the district of Mayen-Koblenz is pursuing the overarching goal of using innovative ideas to make the everyday lives of its residents more pleasant, easier, more sustainable and more efficient.
