Tourism association of the Mayen-Koblenz district

Rhein-Mosel-Eifel-Touristik (REMET) is the tourism association of the district of Mayen-Koblenz, which includes the district, all municipalities and towns in the district as well as 79 local communities and the Sparkasse Koblenz.

REMET's objective has changed little over the past 50 years: to develop tourism in line with the times.

However, the contemporary development has changed significantly. While REMET was a package provider for bowling club and regulars' table travelers in the 1970s, today it is an institution that significantly promotes tourism development, creates infrastructure, ensures quality, promotes networking and supports and partially certifies service providers. Since 2008, REMET has developed the district of Mayen-Koblenz into a "Hiking and Dream Trails District". The dream trails are among the best quality trails that hikers can find in Europe(www.traumpfade.info).

More than 350,000 hikers a year can be found on the 27 award-winning premium hiking trails, which have already been named "Germany's most beautiful hiking trail" four times by Wandermagazin magazine. Since 2018, fourteen premium walking trails - known as dream trails - have rounded off the range as siblings of the dream trails. When developing the Dream Trails, we, as the people responsible, not only attached great importance to the very high quality of the hiking tours from the very beginning. The Dream Trails were and still are a tourism infrastructure project that involves the hosts and improves the quality of the accommodation.

Today, more than 300 star establishments, from vacation rooms to 4-star hotels, offer guests staying overnight in the district high quality, some of which are certified or classified by us. The culinary offerings with regional products and typical regional dishes are also very important to us and our guests, which is reflected in our new umbrella brand leckerMYK. All of this has earned the district of MYK the coveted "Premium Hiking Region" award. Premium hiking regions are the avant-garde of European hiking destinations, where hiking guests are guaranteed a comprehensive hiking experience.

But our region is also great to explore by bike. We have developed numerous Rhine-Moselle-Eifel cycle tours together with our municipalities - these whet the appetite for more. But Mayen-Koblenz has much, much more to offer: the world-famous Eltz Castle, the steepest Riesling vineyards in the world, the highest cold-water geyser in Andernach, the Sayner Hütte, the volcano park and much more. There is so much to see and experience.
