Sayn Cultural Park

Since it was first mentioned in a document in 1064, Bendorf has grown into a town rich in culture and history. Surrounded by the lush greenery of the Brexbach valley and situated on the beautiful Rhine. Visit the Sayn Castle Museum and immerse yourself in the life of the Sayn-Wittgenstein-Sayn royal family. The arm relic of St. Elisabeth is still kept in the adjoining castle chapel.

Sayn Abbey with its Romanesque cloister is owned by the parish and can be visited on a guided tour.

The Sayner Hütte is a historical landmark. Experience the history of iron processing in a completely new way and visit the casting hall and the Krupp hall.

The climbing forest behind the abbey church with its Romanesque cloister is a sporty place. Different climbing courses offer fun for everyone.

The butterfly garden is definitely worth a visit. The colorful butterflies can be admired among the exotic flowers and, with a bit of luck, one of them will land on your hand.

The Rheinsteig and Saynsteig trails intersect at the Limes UNESCO World Heritage Site and invite you to go hiking. Around the Bendorf church square with its imposing church building and in Sayn, you will be presented with a varied gastronomic offer.

The ruins of Sayn Castle, built in the 12th century by the Counts of Sayn and Sayn-Wittgenstein, are enthroned high on the Kehrberg and are one of the highlights of the Saynsteig Dream Trail and the Sayn Views Dream Trail.

The only preserved mill in the Koblenz region, the Heins Mühle, is located in the historic district of Alt-Sayn on the rushing Brexbach stream. A visit to the mill museum is definitely worthwhile.
